Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.
I really need to post the story about this ride soon...and I will.

Bitchin'!
ReplyDeleteThe juxtaposing the cabin with the motorcycle is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I can't believe how close the road is to the cabin.
Oh yeah! I love these places! I'm just usually not able to stop that close to them. What's the tale?? ;)

ReplyDeleteHey, I think that used to be cousin Daryl's place...or was that his other brother Daryl? hehehehe. Takes me back to Cabin Creek Holler.
ReplyDeleteThis looks a lot like the bombed out remnants all over Virginia. I'm always tempted to stop and photo but seldom do. There's got to be some interesting histories behind some of these places.

The Clampetts probably didn't have a metal roof. You know, it probably hasn't been all that many years since someone lived in that house!
